Big Brother Naija Season 11, themed "Show Ya Sef," has seen a significant turn of events with the disqualification of housemate Nomy, whose real name is Whitney Chukwu. Her removal from the reality TV show was officially announced following a pattern of repeated disobedience and defiance of Big Brother's explicit instructions, rules, and punishments, ultimately revoking her privilege to participate further in the competition.

The immediate cause for her disqualification stemmed from an incident during her tenure as this week's bench warmer, where she conspicuously left her assigned bench and vest behind, an action Big Brother addressed as a clear infringement. This particular transgression was highlighted alongside her consistent disregard for directives and previously issued warnings.

Nomy had already received a final strike earlier in the season on August 9, serving as her "last and final warning." This strike was issued due to her persistent habit of ignoring Big Brother’s instructions, displaying tardiness, and showing selective participation in various house activities. Big Brother had explicitly cautioned her that any further violations would lead to more severe consequences, a warning that Nomy evidently failed to heed.

Following the official announcement of her disqualification on Monday, Nomy was given a strict 30-minute timeframe to gather all her personal belongings and exit the Big Brother house. Her abrupt departure means she is no longer eligible to compete for the grand prize of N160 million, which includes N100 million in cash and a brand-new SUV, nor can she participate in any of the remaining activities of the Season 11 edition.

Nomy, a 26-year-old fashion designer from Anambra State, was among the 24 housemates who premiered on July 26, 2026, when the 11th season commenced. With her exit, the number of housemates remaining in the Season 11 house has now been reduced to 15, intensifying the competition as the season rapidly approaches its mid-point. The season is hosted by the popular Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.

Her disqualification is not the first departure from the house; several other housemates had previously exited through the eviction process. Martins and Mercedes were the first two housemates to be evicted from the season on August 9, while Sultex and Goddessa were among the latest to leave prior to Nomy's disqualification, further illustrating the cutthroat nature of the competition.
