BBNaija Season 11 Begins as Chimsom Emerges First Head of House

Big Brother Naija Season 11, themed "Show Ya Sef," has officially begun, with 24 housemates entering Biggie's newly designed upside-down house to compete for a record ₦160 million grand prize.

Host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu introduced the contestants during the launch show before the first competitive challenge determined the season's inaugural Head of House.

The first Head of House title went to Chimsom Chuka-Okoli, a 26-year-old pharmacist and actor from Anambra State. He completed the opening arena challenge in 2 minutes and 8 seconds, recording the fastest overall time.

Abi Ayoola, a chef and model from Osun State, finished with the fastest female time to become the Deputy Head of House.

Chimsom's victory grants him immunity from this week's eviction nominations. However, under a new twist introduced by Big Brother, the Head of House no longer receives automatic access to the luxury suite.

Instead, Chimsom drew Tram's name from a lucky dip box, giving him access to the Head of House apartment. Tram then selected Sheba to join him in the suite.

This year's house features contestants from diverse professional backgrounds, including actors, entrepreneurs, lawyers, musicians, broadcasters, fashion designers, software developers and content creators.

Among the notable housemates are broadcaster Sheba, musician Goddessa, actor Yusuf, filmmaker Ricky, creative director Martins, web developer Keivo, entrepreneur Flora, lawyer Neche, fashion entrepreneur Nomy, and dancer and choreographer Sultex.

Others competing this season include Temi Nkem, Mercedes, Kamsy, Aikou, Gerard, Bells, Oyin, Cassi, Bluethopia, Araga, Barry, Tram and Abi, each hoping to outlast the competition over the next 10 weeks.

The "Show Ya Sef" edition introduces several gameplay changes designed to make the competition less predictable. The new Head of House rules are expected to reshape alliances and strategy from the opening week.

With immunity already secured, Chimsom enters the first nomination week from a position of strength, while the remaining housemates begin competing for survival as viewers prepare for another season of drama, alliances and rivalry.
