BBNaija S11 Drama Explodes: Sultex Threatens Yusuf, Team Condemns Actions

The Big Brother Naija Season 11 house was rocked by a heated confrontation when housemate Sultex threatened fellow housemate Yusuf. The incident unfolded after Yusuf intervened to defend Bells during an argument between Sultex and Bells, sparking a volatile exchange.

In a video of the confrontation, Sultex aggressively questioned Yusuf’s toughness and issued severe threats. He was heard saying, “You’re small o, I will blow your eyes, I will kill you. You know who I be? You will die.” Sultex further escalated the situation by challenging Yusuf to meet him outside the Big Brother house in Lagos, stating, “You go just run for this Lagos, Yusuf. Make we meet outside.”

Yusuf, however, refused to be intimidated, boldly reminding Sultex about the security measures within the house. He retorted, “For inside this house protection dey here. Leave outside, shey you say you wan hit me? Hit me, try am.” Yusuf also explicitly stated his reason for defending Bells, attributing it to his affection for her, asking Sultex, “I like her, so what are you going to do about it?” Bells herself later joined the fray, directly challenging Sultex and daring him to physical contact, declaring, “I dare you to touch me, you’re a fool.”

This clash underscores the growing closeness between Yusuf and Bells within the house, a relationship that has become a significant talking point among the housemates. Big Brother Naija Season 11, which premiered on July 26, features 24 housemates competing for a substantial N160 million prize package, all under the theme “Everything Is For The Taking.”

Following the incident, Yusuf’s team released a statement condemning the alleged threats against him, highlighting that this was not an isolated event. The statement read, “THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME MY CLIENT’S LIFE HAS BEEN THRE@TENED IN #bigbrothernaija. This is not the first time my client, Yusuf, has been subjected to statements thre@tening his safety. What makes this even more concerning is that, in this particular situation, Yusuf was standing up for and trying to protect his friend. He stepped in because he felt his friend was being wronged, only to have the situation turn against him and result in threats to his own life.” The team further clarified Yusuf’s role, asserting, “Let’s be clear: Yusuf did not start the confrontation. He was trying to make peace before he was provoked, insulted and eventually spat on. Banter is banter. Arguments and exchanges of words can happen. But throughout the entire confrontation, not once did Yusuf threaten anyone’s life. His life, however, was thre@tened repeatedly from the beginning to the end.”

Conversely, Sultex’s team offered a different perspective, urging understanding of his words within the context of his upbringing and communication style. They explained, “Sultex is a young man from Isale Eko, Lagos Island, whose manner of speech has been heavily shaped by the environment and street culture he grew up around. Expressions such as these have, for him and many others from similar backgrounds, become colloquial phrases commonly thrown around during heated exchanges.” His team maintained that Sultex’s statements were not intended as genuine threats to harm Yusuf, asserting, “Sultex has never intended to communicate a genuine desire or plan to harm the person involved. His reaction came in the midst of a highly emotional confrontation, where tempers were raised and words were exchanged on both sides.”

The ongoing developments, particularly the deepening bond between Yusuf and Bells, continue to fuel discussions and drama within the Big Brother Naija Season 11 house.
