The British American Tobacco Nigeria Foundation (BATNF) has officially opened applications for its flagship Farmers for the Future (F4F) Grant, designed to empower NYSC Corps Members and young agri-entrepreneurs to build sustainable and impactful agribusinesses that transform local communities.

The application window, which runs from July 7, 2025, to 20th July 2025, is open to passionate young Nigerians ready to take their agribusiness dreams to the next level. Interested applicants are required to download the BATNF Mobile App, available on Google Play and the App Store, to complete their application process.

Now in its sixth year, the Farmers for the Future Programme continues to rewrite the stories of young farmers across Nigeria. Previous beneficiaries have scaled from simple vegetable gardens into structured agribusiness enterprises.

Speaking on the programme’s impact, the General Manager, BAT Nigeria Foundation, Oludare Odusanya, said, “At BATNF, we believe agriculture is a powerful tool for economic empowerment and national development. Farmers for the Future is more than a grant; it is an opportunity to build youth-led agribusinesses that create jobs, strengthen food security, and inspire innovation across Nigeria’s agricultural value chain.”

The Farmers for the Future Grant offers up to N10 million in equity funding to successful applicants alongside participation in a rigorous business accelerator bootcamp, a full year of tailored mentorship, and access to a powerful network of young agri-entrepreneurs.

Beneficiaries are also equipped with critical skills in financial management and strategic planning, positioning them to reduce waste, improve pricing strategies, and become reliable suppliers to major markets.

Odusanya further added, “We want to see more young people take the lead in agriculture, bringing fresh ideas and sustainable practices to feed our nation and the world. This programme is our commitment to building the next generation of agricultural leaders.”
