Falco-Vulcano Energia KC Szombathely (A Division) re-signed 29-year-old international 195cm guard Zoltan Perl for the 2025-26 season. Perl has played there for the last six seasons and helped them win the regular season and reach the final. He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Hungarian League All-Domestic Players Team, League Player of the Week (3 times), and Eurobasket.com All-Hungarian League First Team. Perl played 14 games in Basketball Champions League, averaging 19.9ppg, 3.2rpg, 3.3apg, and 1.3spg last season.
He has also been a member of the Hungarian international program for some years. Perl has regularly played for the Hungarian senior team since 2015 and previously for the Under 20 National Team back in 2015.
He also represented Hungary at the FIBA World Cup 2023 European Qualifiers two years ago. During this event, he scored an average of 11.7 ppg and had 3 rpg.
Perl has played previously in Italy (Orlandina and Treviso) and Spain (Estudiantes).
Between 2021 and 2024, his team won the Hungarian Cup. He received the Eurobasket.com All-Hungarian League Player of the Year award and the Eurobasket.com All-Hungarian League Domestic Player of the Year award in 2024.
