Sources close to ESPN indicate the deal is valued at an initial €70 million ($81.7m), with potential add-ons that could see the transfer fee rise to over €80 million ($93.3m). The Catalan club acted swiftly to finalize the signing this week, outpacing other interested European giants like Bayern Munich and Liverpool for the 25-year-old's signature. ESPN had previously reported on Wednesday that an agreement between Barça and Newcastle regarding the fee had been reached, paving the way for Gordon to fly to Barcelona on Thursday to complete his medical examination.

During his initial presentation, which was notably delayed by over eight hours due to paperwork issues, Gordon expressed his profound excitement and sense of accomplishment. “This is the biggest club on the planet,” Gordon stated. “It’s the stuff I dreamed of as a child.
