Arabian Travel Market 2025: AI, Innovation and Emerging Markets

The Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025, the Middle East’s premier travel and hospitality trade show, is set to take place from April 28 to May 1 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. This year's event is anticipated to draw 2,600 exhibitors, encompassing tourism boards, airlines, hotels, and technology providers from around the globe. Ministers, executives, and entrepreneurs will also be in attendance, positioning ATM as a pivotal event for identifying trends, forging deals, and strategic planning within the industry. It offers an exclusive preview of the future of global travel.

Now in its 32nd edition, ATM has become a significant event in the industry. The 2024 edition saw over 46,000 attendees from more than 160 countries. The 2025 event will feature panel discussions, networking opportunities, and exhibitions across various sectors, including aviation, accommodation, wellness, hospitality, and MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions).

The theme for this year, “Global Travel: Developing Tomorrow’s Tourism Through Enhanced Connectivity,” sets the stage for discussions on adapting to evolving expectations. Artificial intelligence (AI) will be a key focus, with sessions exploring its impact on customer service, itinerary planning, and flight scheduling. Speakers such as Cassie Kozyrkov, Google’s first chief decision scientist, and Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubai Airports, are scheduled to discuss technology in the context of disruption and innovation. The ATM Start-Up Pitch Battle will offer early-stage companies a platform to present their ideas to investors, while brands will showcase tools designed to enhance efficiency and personalize travel experiences.

Luxury travel is expected to be a prominent topic. Projections estimate the luxury travel sector could reach €3 trillion by 2032, driven by high-net-worth individuals from the Middle East and Asia. Exhibitors representing top-tier hospitality brands and destinations are creating curated packages and forming partnerships. ATM will also address the alignment of luxury tourism with sustainability and community inclusion, as well as the growth of emerging destinations through improved connectivity and boutique experiences.

The event will also serve as a platform for policy discussions. Leaders from the Gulf region are expected to discuss topics such as visa reform, tourism investment, and infrastructure. These discussions aim to foster a cohesive regional approach as countries like Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Qatar expand their tourism initiatives.

ATM 2025 is positioned as a showcase of tourism's future, bringing together professionals from travel tech, hospitality, and policy to explore the evolving landscape.
