APC Sets Ambitious 2027 Electoral Target for Tinubu, Yari

A new political support group, the YARI 774 for Asiwaju Initiative, has officially commenced its nationwide mobilization efforts across Nigeria in preparation for the 2027 general elections. The primary objective of this initiative is to secure a substantial 10 million votes for President Bola Tinubu and former Zamfara State Governor, Senator Abdulaziz Yari. This ambitious plan was formally announced during the group's maiden National Executive Council (NEC) meeting, which recently took place in Abuja.

Rt. Hon. Olufemi Richard Bamisile, the National Coordinator of the YARI 774 for Asiwaju Initiative, provided insights into the group's strategic approach. He confirmed that the initiative aims to establish comprehensive structures throughout all 774 local government areas across the country. These structures are intended to facilitate the extensive mobilization of support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its various candidates in the forthcoming elections. Bamisile underscored the initiative's core focus on grassroots engagement, robust voter education programs, and proactive voter mobilization activities leading up to the 2027 polls. He urged all members to diligently establish and strengthen organizational frameworks at the state, local government, ward, and polling unit levels, emphasizing that effective organization coupled with sustained grassroots interaction will be paramount to achieving the group’s electoral objectives. Furthermore, the initiative is committed to supporting President Tinubu's administration and galvanizing voters around the government’s 'Renewed Hope Agenda,' demonstrating a dual commitment to political leadership and national policy. Adding to the strategic outline, Chief Ibrahim Emokpaire, who serves as both the Chairman and Convener of the initiative, reiterated the organization's expansive operational reach across all 774 local government areas. He affirmed that the NEC would be responsible for coordinating all activities in the lead-up to the elections. Emokpaire elaborated on the initiative’s multifaceted approach, which extends beyond mere grassroots mobilization and voter education to include significant efforts in youth engagement, fostering civic participation, and conducting targeted community outreach programs. He unequivocally stated the group’s precise target of at least 10 million votes for both President Tinubu and Senator Yari in the 2027 elections.
