APC Chieftain Urges President Tinubu to Address Rising Kidnapping Cases

Hon. Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, a prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, has issued a fervent appeal to President Bola Tinubu, urging immediate and decisive action to address the escalating crisis of kidnapping and the broader spectrum of insecurity challenges plaguing Nigeria. Speaking to newsmen in Osogbo, Oyintiloye emphasized the critical need to prevent the erosion of the hard-won gains achieved by security agencies in their ongoing fight against insecurity under the current administration.
Oyintiloye, a former member of the APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), expressed deep concern over the recent surge in kidnapping incidents across the nation, highlighting the growing anxiety among Nigerians. While commending President Tinubu and the security agencies for their efforts in combating insecurity, he stressed that the recent wave of kidnappings demands urgent and focused attention.
Advocating for enhanced inter-agency collaboration, Oyintiloye underscored the importance of a unified and coordinated approach to effectively tackle the upsurge in kidnapping and other security threats. He asserted that these kidnappers, being human beings, are not invincible and their heinous activities can be contained through strategic and concerted efforts.
Oyintiloye emphasized that security is a collective responsibility, calling on all citizens to actively collaborate with the government in combating this menace. He urged citizens to provide useful information that can aid security agencies in curbing criminal activities, highlighting the crucial role of public participation in maintaining peace and order.
"There is no doubt that the president is doing everything humanly possible to tackle insecurity challenges in the country, but the collaboration of the citizens is also important," Oyintiloye stated. He reiterated the seriousness of the recent increase in kidnapping incidents, emphasizing the urgent need for President Tinubu and the security agencies to respond decisively and with full force to restore peace and stability across the nation.
Furthermore, Oyintiloye called for the swift and severe prosecution of those responsible for these "devilish" acts, ensuring that justice is served and that perpetrators are held accountable for their crimes. He also commended President Tinubu for his steadfast support for the security, progress, and economic stability of the country, acknowledging his commitment to building a safer and more prosperous Nigeria.
