Anycia, Wale, More Lead Newest Flight Club Fridays Music Series
Flight Club, known as “the original sneaker consignment store,” returns with its sixth year of “Flight Club Fridays,” a music series that showcases stories and perspectives of emerging and established artists. This year’s program includes Anycia (pictured above), Wale, Skilla Baby, OsamaSon and Monaleo — all of whom will showcase some of their top singles and new music from their upcoming albums.
The series delves into the journey of each musician as they discuss their greatest influences, hometowns and communities. This year, for the first time, Flight Club Fridays will bring their respective fanbases together with in-person activations across the hometowns of each artist: Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Charleston, Houston, and Detroit.
The first episode of the sixth installment officially releases on Friday, July 11 on Flight Club’s YouTube.
“Every year, we get the opportunity to collaborate with incredible artists who are paving the way and making an impact on our community,” said Ilias Panayiotou, Flight Club’s brand director. “Naturally, we selected cities that have shown great support to the brand and partnered with artists from each area. With music being an essential part of Flight Club’s DNA, Flight Club Fridays continues its tradition of identifying and nurturing talent across music—and we hope to continue to build on this legacy.”
First headlined by Doja Cat, Smino and Flipp Dinero, Flight Club Fridays originated as live performances open to the public at Flight Club New York, Los Angeles and Miami. The series is a tribute to the cities, musicians, genres and fans that shape sneaker culture.
Over the last five seasons, the roster of artists has included renowned names such as the Game, Saweetie, Tinashe, Earl Sweatshirt & The Alchemist, Joyce Wrice along with influential vocalists such as Audrey Nuna, Young Nudy, Flo Milli and IDK.
