"Any Idiot Can Go to Court" - Agradaa Mocks Empress Gifty's GH¢20 Million Lawsuit

Former fetish priestess-turned-preacher, Patricia Asiedu, has responded fiercely to a GH¢20 million defamation lawsuit filed against her by gospel singer Empress Gifty.

In a new video sighted by Ameyaw Debrah Media, the founder of Heavens Way Church mocked the legal action and made it clear that she has no intentions of backing down.

“Any idiot can go to court,” Agradaa said bluntly, waving off the suit with visible disdain. According to her, Empress Gifty and her husband, Hopeson Adorye, are only making noise on social media without taking the proper legal steps.

“You don’t serve someone with a writ on Facebook. If you truly have courage, serve me in person and let’s see where power lies,” she added. Agradaa claimed she had not been personally served and therefore does not recognize the suit as valid.

She further threatened to escalate the matter beyond Ghana’s borders:

I will take the case to an international court myself. Gifty and her husband won’t get anything from me.

Her response follows a lawsuit filed by Empress Gifty on May 20, 2025, through her lawyers, Osei Aidoh Akpokavie and Co. The gospel artist is seeking GH¢20 million in damages for what she describes as defamatory statements made by Agradaa during multiple live broadcasts on Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube around May 13.

In the writ, Gifty claims the attacks stem from a fallout between Agradaa and her husband, and she’s requesting a perpetual injunction to bar Agradaa from making any further defamatory statements. She is also asking the court to compel the evangelist to delete all offending content and cover legal costs, including lawyer fees.

But judging from Agradaa’s current posture, she’s not only unfazed by the legal threats—she appears ready to intensify the battle.

With both sides standing their ground, the drama between Nana Agradaa and the Adoryes shows no sign of slowing down anytime soon.
