Anthony Elanga sends 'bittersweet' Nottingham Forest message after Man United reveal

Forest remain in third place in the table, but they are now 13 points adrift of Liverpool while Man City sit just three points behind them.

Forest will look to get back to winning ways on Sunday (23 February) when they face Newcastle United at St James' Park.

The fixture didn't go how Elanga would have wished, but he was able to celebrate a landmark moment in his individual career after playing 100 games in the English top flight.

The Sweden international made his Premier League debut during the 2020-21 season for Man United, but the bulk of his games have taken place for Forest.

The 22-year-old has been a crucial part of Forest's unexpected Premier League success this season with his vibrant attacking performances.

He has scored three goals and provided eight assists across his 25 Premier League games for the club.

Elanga's performances this season have even led to some United fans calling for the club to bring him back after he departed Old Trafford in the summer of 2023
