Anna Faris has always had range: comedic, dramatic, and most recently, antibacterial. Whether she’s playing a peak Y2K teen in The Hot Chick, a single parent navigating real life in Mom, or, our newest favorite, a zany executive in a Scrubbing Bubbles ad, Faris slips into roles with the kind of ease that makes it look effortless (even while wearing a red wig).
With over 30 films to her name and plenty of TV credits to match, Faris has proven she’s more than just funny — she’s personable, self-aware, and charming enough to make normal people think they’re interviewing for “the easiest job in the world.”
We sat down with her to talk about her Scrubbing Bubbles partnership, her go-to cleaning staples, and her other must-have products. Bonus: everything she mentioned is up to 50% off right now for Amazon Prime Day. Celebs — they’re just like us. Read the entire interview below, and don’t forget to shop these finds while you still have a few hours left (the sale ends at midnight).
I was the kind of kid who my mom had me clean the bathroom as one of my chores. I’m a messy, sloppy person myself, and so I have, like, the globs of toothpaste in the sink and the foundation and whatever; stuff is everywhere. It looks like I live in a sorority.
When Scrubbing Bubbles asked me to partner with them, one, I got to go undercover as an odd corporate lady, interviewing unknowing participants. So the conceit was really fun. And two, I got to learn hands-on what an awesome product Scrubbing Bubbles Easy Clean is. I was telling them [Scrubbing Bubbles] earlier how fun it is to be talking about a product that I love and believe in — you don’t even have to use a brush with it. It’s miraculous.
I got to meet the chemists who developed it, and that was really cool. They [the chemists] were telling me how it took them three years to create this product and how excited they were. One of the chemists was even in the Scrubbing Bubbles mascot suit when we surprised the participants at the end with confetti.
The whole shoot was super fun. It came at a really wild time in my life. We shot the campaign right after our home burned down in the LA fires, and I was so grateful to be so distracted and to be with such a supportive team. Everyone at Scrubbing Bubbles was so kind to me.
Truly, I’m going to be using Scrubbing Bubbles Easy Clean for the rest of my life. It is. It’s an incredible product. It really does get the job done so quickly and so easily.
I use my Ouai Hair Oil. My Klorane Dry Shampoo — this is awesome, because it’s not a spray. I can just douse it on my hair whenever I want. And then I use this Kate Somerville HydraKate Serum, which is like a water-based recharging serum.
My trusty MyCharge Portable Charger. I love that thing.
