Lydia (not her real name) was a neighbour to the family of the five-year-old girl whose life was cruelly cut short.

The young lady described Amanda as a cheerful child who had come into the spotlight due to her remarkable talent.

“Most of the time, I saw her with pink braids. Even the last time I saw her, she had pink braids. She was a happy soul and a darling to many. She was a lovely kid,” the grief-stricken neighbour shared.

Before the tragic incident, Amanda had been seen playing a game of catch with the very person accused of taking her life.

The joy quickly turned into horror when her lifeless body was found lying on the cold concrete of their compound.

“When I asked the nanny why Amanda was without clothes, she told me Amanda had just taken a bath. She had her little towel wrapped around her, and the nanny was picking out clothes for her. That was when the uncle entered the bathroom.
He grabbed Amanda’s hand, but the little girl hit him. When the nanny came in to help, he grabbed and threw her. Amanda immediately ran to the living room, and that’s when she lost the towel,” Lydia narrated.

It was around that tense moment that Amanda's uncle took her to the balcony and pushed her over.

He told her he was coming for her as he climbed down the wall to where the injured girl lay helpless.

Neighbours screamed for help, pleading with the man to leave the little girl alone, but their cries fell on deaf ears.

They rushed to the scene and managed to push him away, then scrambled to get help and rushed Amanda to the hospital.

Sadly, she was pronounced dead hours later due to severe injuries.

“She was too young, inexperienced, and in a terrible situation. It hurts to know that in her final moments, she was without clothes. It was the cruellest thing I’ve ever experienced. Knowing how bubbly, charming, and happy she was, it’s just devastating. I wouldn’t wish this on even an animal, let alone a human being. She didn’t deserve that,” Lydia wept.

In another emotional story, the estate’s security guard also shared his heartbreaking account.

Peter Ijono recounted how he separated the suspect from Amanda as other neighbours intervened.

He said the suspect had rage in his eyes, and Ijono feared for his life when he was forcefully pushed away while trying to protect Amanda.

Ijono described Amanda as a lovely and exceptionally talented child, echoing Lydia’s sentiments.
