Community Unit School District 300 is headquartered in Algonquin but serves students from all over Kane and McHenry counties. The district is made up of 27 schools and educates 20,161 students. 

Huntley Community School District 58 is made up of nine schools serving 4,841 students from its headquarters in Algonquin. The district has outperformed the state across the board on benchmark tests.
