Alexander Brothers Scandal: Lawyers Fight Back as Multiple Accusers Allege Assaults!

Oren, Alon, and Tal Alexander, three prominent brothers known in the luxury real estate sectors of Miami and New York City, are facing grave accusations of rape and sexual assault from over 60 alleged victims, including a minor. These alleged incidents date back to 2009. The brothers have pleaded not guilty to sex trafficking charges, with their defense attorneys vehemently arguing that the claims are fabricated and motivated by financial gain through personal injury lawsuits.
Federal prosecutors have accused the Alexander brothers of conspiring to drug, sexually assault, and rape dozens of victims between 2009 and 2021, often by promising luxury experiences in exchange for sex. Ana Claudia Chacin, a Miami Herald reporter who has spoken with several alleged victims, notes the striking similarity in their accounts, describing women being drugged or consuming excessive alcohol to a state of incapacitation, rendering them unable to consent. These allegations span various stages of the brothers' lives, including their early careers as real estate agents in New York.
The defense team, attorneys Edward O’Donnell and Joel Denaro, raised concerns about the timing of the accusations. O’Donnell stated in an interview with In Touch Investigates that it is “no coincidence” that after 10 to 15 years without accusations, all claims emerged simultaneously through personal injury lawsuits. He questioned why none of the accusers initially approached law enforcement, instead opting for personal injury lawyers, which then led to official involvement. Denaro emphasized the “mathematical possibilities” of such a synchronized emergence of claims. Furthermore, O’Donnell asserted a complete absence of physical evidence, noting that none of the accusers, to his knowledge, sought medical attention or rape kits at hospitals, concluding there is “zero evidence whatsoever that the assaults occurred.”
In response to the defense's claims regarding the motivation behind the lawsuits, attorneys representing the alleged victims have strongly pushed back. Carissa Peebles, an attorney for one woman, highlighted her client's “a lot of fear” due to the brothers' “status and wealth in society.” Todd Poses, representing Maria Suska, described the defense's characterization of victims as “opportunistic” as “predictable and pathetic,” arguing that seeking civil remedies is the only alternative for victims to hold the Alexanders “financially accountable for the lives they have ruined.”
Many alleged victims have cited shame, fear of not being believed, and the intimidating societal status of the brothers as reasons for their delay in coming forward. Lindsey Acree, for instance, initially sought to file a lawsuit anonymously. An anonymous woman told NBC6 that her decision to speak out was driven by a desire to encourage others to share their truth, stating, “No one should have to carry this burden alone.” Chacin described a “domino effect,” where the courage of one or two women to file lawsuits empowered others to break their silence, with some having kept their memories “in little boxes” for years. One woman reportedly tried to report her assault to the police but was dismissed, being told she “didn't have a case” after consuming what she believed was laced marijuana, and was not provided a rape kit at the hospital.
Maria Suska, one of Oren's accusers, shared her exclusive account with In Touch, detailing an alleged assault in 2014 at a party in a Miami mansion. She recounted being invited by Oren, expecting a romantic dinner, only to find ten other girls and two promoters. Suska claims Oren later invited her upstairs to a watch tower, where he allegedly attacked her. Despite blaming herself and being “scared,” she eventually filed a police report last year in December, though her case is outside Florida's statute of limitations. The defense's O'Donnell highlighted an email where Suska asked a prosecutor for recommendations for personal injury lawyers to sue Oren, suggesting financial motivation. However, the District Attorney's office clarified that their email indicating media-named attorneys was a “response to a direct question, not a referral.”
The Alexander brothers are currently being held without bail at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center and are scheduled for trial in January 2026. Their legal team previously filed a motion to dismiss a lawsuit in New York, presenting “flirty messages and nude pictures” sent by the accuser after the alleged attack. Despite the ongoing legal battle, defense attorney Joel Denaro states the brothers are being “strong” and have “no choice but to sit and fight these accusations,” some of which are “eight, sometimes 12 years old with no physical evidence.”
