Albert died while in police custody, an incident that sparked outrage across the country.

The slain blogger and teacher is set to be buried on Friday, July 4, at his father's compound in Homa Bay.

In protest against police brutality, the youths carried Albert’s coffin to the police station and set the premises ablaze, forcing the officers to flee.

They then peacefully took the blogger’s body to his family home, entering his father's compound without further incident.

Upon arrival, Mzee Meshack Ojwang was captured in an emotional video, singing a gospel song as his son's body was brought home.

The song called for strength from God, the rock, the provider, reminding all that one is safe at His feet.

Mzee Meshack was seen clapping and singing, seemingly drawing strength from the song’s message.

He passionately joined the mourners in singing as the casket was placed down for public viewing, turning what had been a moment of chaos into one of solemn calm.
