On the Radar: Albert Ojwang' to be buried in Homa Bay

Albert Ojwang’, the blogger who died in police custody, will be laid to rest today.

The ceremony will take place at his parents’ home in Kakoth Village, Kokwanyo location, Homa Bay.

His body arrived home on Thursday, which was welcomed with tears and anger that descended into chaos.

This is after mourners stormed the Mawego Police Station and set it ablaze.

Before being transferred to Nairobi’s Central Police Station, Ojwang was taken to Mawego Police Station.

Ojwang’ died in June, with an autopsy revealing the torture he endured in his last hours.

Opposition to continue its Western tour in Busia, Bungoma

The opposition umbrella, led by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, will continue its tour in the Western region.

“Today, the United Opposition continues its Western engagement and walk with the people of Busia and Bungoma,” Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka said on Friday.

The team began the tour on Thursday and plans to culminate it on Friday.

The opposition has stepped up its grassroots engagements in recent weeks, signalling a renewed bid to challenge the Kenya Kwanza administration’s grip on the political landscape.

The team includes Gachagua, Kalonzo, DAP-K leader Eugene Wamwala, Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya, former Interior CS Fred Matiang’i, DCP acting Chairman Cleophas Malala, DAP-Kenya's Eugene Wamalwa and former Public Service CS Justin Muturi.
