Albert Ojwang: 3 More Suspects In Blogger's Murder Arrested, Part of Destroyed CCTV Clip Recovered

IPOA has been under pressure to arrest everyone linked to the death of the blogger, who died hours after being arrested for tarnishing the name of the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Eliud Lagat.
On Friday, June 13, detectives arrested three suspects, including a technician who was paid KSh 3000 to tamper with the CCTV system at Central Police Station.
Others arrested were OCS Samson Taalam and a police officer, James Mukwana.
On Sunday, June 15, detectives arrested three more individuals suspected to have participating in the killing of the blogger at the Central Police Station.
Citizen TV reported that IPOA officers nabbed three prisoners who were held at Central Police Station on the night the blogger was killed.
IPOA nabbed Gin Abwao, Collins Ireri and Brian Mwaniki, whose preliminary investigations show they were hired by police to torture the blogger.
The three were allegedly freed under unclear circumstances moments after torturing the blogger and leaving him for dead.
Detectives have also made a significant step in retrieving a large part of the CCTV footage that was destroyed at Central Police Station.
According to IPOS, the recovered footage would be key in revealing the identity of the people who plotted Ojwang's murder.
This latest development is crucial in unravelling the events that transpired at the station on the night the blogger was tortured to death.

Was Albert Ojwang taken to Mbagathi while already dead?
In another development, Citizen TV shared exclusive CCTV footage showing the exact time police took Ojwang's body to Mbagathi Hospital.
The CCTV footage shows police taking Ojwang to Mbagathi Hospital at 1.35am, contrary to the information shared by the DCI boss.
Kenyans were annoyed more after the footage showed police were not in a hurry to take Ojwang to the emergency room after arriving at the hospital.
From the footage, three police officers took around 20 minutes before wheeling the blogger to the emergency wing for the medics to confirm that he was already dead.
