BEIRUT (Lebanon) - Al Riyadi and Tabiat have qualified for the Basketball Champions League Asia (BCL Asia) 2025 after reaching the Final of the FIBA West Asia Super League (WASL) Final 8 2025.
Both teams formalized their entry to the most prestigious club competition in Asia after eliminating their respective opponents in the knockout Semi-Finals at the Stade Nouhad Naufal on Saturday night.
Al Riyadi secured their return trip following a 97-85 victory over Shabab Al Ahli, the same team they beat in the BCL Asia Final last year in Dubai to complete a five-game sweep and become champions.
Tabiat then followed suit after escaping Sagesse SC, 79-73, in the process ensuring that Iran will once again be represented in the continental club showpiece after Shahrdary Gorgan did as much previously.
Al Riyadi and Tabiat will be joining the champion teams from top professional leagues in Asia, in addition to two teams from the BCL Asia-East, which is set to hold its Final 4 on May 30-31 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
The Basketball Champions League Asia 2025 is set on June 9-15, the venue of which to be announced soon.
