Ajax Lands Super Eagles Star Tolu Arokodare in Permanent Transfer!

Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare has officially completed his move to Dutch Eredivisie giants Ajax, marking him as the eighth Nigerian international to play for the Amsterdam club. The 25-year-old forward joins Ajax on a season-long loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers, a transfer that concludes a period of uncertainty regarding his future.

Arokodare's contract with Ajax runs until the summer of 2027, with the Dutch club holding a non-obligatory option to make the transfer permanent for an estimated fee of €22 million. During the loan spell, Ajax will cover Arokodare's full wages and has also agreed upon a separate loan fee with Wolves. Wolverhampton Wanderers could further benefit from bonus payments if Ajax qualifies for European football during Arokodare's tenure in Amsterdam.

This move offers Arokodare a fresh start after a challenging debut year in England with Wolves, where he contributed six goals and two assists. Prior to Ajax's late entry into the race, Arokodare had been linked with clubs like Trabzonspor and Fiorentina, though neither transfer materialized.
