CoreWeave Inc. has secured a substantial agreement with Meta Platforms Inc. to supply up to $14.2 billion in computing power, a deal finalized on September 30. This landmark contract underscores the immense financial investment required to develop and operate sophisticated AI models, and its announcement led to a more than 15% surge in CoreWeave’s shares on Wall Street. This significant partnership with Meta comes just one week after CoreWeave announced its third multi-billion dollar cloud expansion deal with OpenAI, aimed at fulfilling the computational demands of the ChatGPT developer. CoreWeave executives have consistently highlighted an exceptionally high demand for their services from clients.

CoreWeave operates a network of AI data centers across both the US and Europe, offering crucial access to Nvidia’s graphics processing units (GPUs), which are in high demand for the intensive tasks of training and operating large-scale AI models. As part of the agreement with Meta, CoreWeave will provide Facebook's parent company with access to Nvidia's cutting-edge GB300 systems, as reported by Bloomberg, referencing an interview with CoreWeave’s CEO, Michael Intrator. Intrator expressed confidence in the company's offerings, stating, “They loved our infrastructure in earlier contracts and came back for more.” He also emphasized the strategic importance of this deal for CoreWeave’s business diversification, noting,
