Ahmedabad plane crash: 6 NDRF teams, 2 from BSF rush to crash site for rescue ops
A major tragedy struck Ahmedabad on Thursday afternoon when a London-bound Air India flight (AI171), carrying 242 passengers and crew members, crashed shortly after take-off from the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport. The incident occurred around 1:40 pm, and several casualties are feared.According to police, more than 100 bodies were reportedly brought to the hospital following the crash.

Rescue teams rushed to the site immediately after the accident.

Officials said that six teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and two from the Border Security Force (BSF) have been deployed for rescue and relief operations.

The BSF also confirmed that two of its teams from the local frontier headquarters have been sent to the site. Additionally, personnel from the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), who are responsible for airport security, were among the first responders. They were joined by local fire brigade and police teams.
