Ahmed Musa Vows To Reposition Kano Pillars As A Leading African Club

The General Manager of Kano Pillars FC and Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa, MON, OON, has pledged to restore the club’s status as one of Africa’s elite football institutions, BSNSports.com.ng reports
Speaking during a familiarization meeting on Monday with the club’s Chairman, Alhaji Ali Muhammad Umar, and Board members, Musa expressed his deep commitment to reviving the team’s glory and building on its proud legacy.
According to a statement from the Media & Communications Directorate of Kano Pillars FC, the former Leicester City and CSKA Moscow forward stressed the urgency of working strategically to elevate the four-time Nigerian champions onto the global stage.
Musa assured stakeholders of his readiness to collaborate with both local and international partners to realize this vision. He emphasized that his vast experience in European football, combined with a strong grasp of the Nigerian football environment, would be key to driving the club forward.
“Kano Pillars is our club and one of the most successful in Nigeria, but in recent years, things have changed,” Musa noted. “With your support and the backing of the Board, I’m fully committed to repositioning this club and making it a force not just in Africa, but globally. I’ve played here, I’ve played in Europe, and I believe I can use that experience to help the club reach its full potential.”
He also underscored the importance of unity, clear planning, and collective dedication from all stakeholders including management, players, fans, and partners to achieve sustainable success.
It will be recalled that Ahmed Musa was appointed General Manager of Kano Pillars FC by the Kano State Government under the leadership of His Excellency, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf. The appointment is part of a broader initiative to align the club with international standards and best practices.
With Musa at the helm, Kano Pillars is set to enter a new chapter defined by ambition, professionalism, and a drive for excellence not just for the people of Kano, but for football fans across Nigeria and beyond.
