A Norwegian teenager, Johannes Kongsnes Natland, has been convicted of conspiracy to commit murder after traveling to the UK with the intent to carry out an assassination. Police apprehended Natland, 19, in a hotel room in Huddersfield in March of last year, just two days after he landed at Manchester Airport. Footage captured the moment of his arrest, where he initially feigned shooting at officers before being restrained and handcuffed.
Natland was found in possession of two guns, 19 rounds of ammunition, and bags of cash, all prepared for the planned murder. The investigation revealed that he was acting under orders from an organized crime group known as the Foxtrot Network, which has ties to criminal activities linked to the Iranian regime. He was instructed to murder an individual in the UK, although the identity of the potential victim was never established.
Digital communications analyzed by Counter Terrorism Police (CTP) officers showed that Natland had received precise instructions while still in Norway, including maps, pictures, and videos detailing the location of a
