AC Milan in Nigerian Star Frenzy: Boniface Medical Sparks Doubts, Chukwueze Exit Looms!

The summer transfer window is reaching its climax with significant developments concerning two prominent Nigerian Super Eagles players, Samuel Chukwueze and Victor Boniface, and their potential moves involving Italian giants AC Milan.
Samuel Chukwueze, the AC Milan winger, is a key target for Premier League side Fulham, who have intensified their efforts to secure his services. Fulham's latest bid proposes a season-long loan with an option to buy, which could convert into an obligation based on specific performance conditions. This marks a renewed interest from Marco Silva's side, who previously attempted to sign Chukwueze in January. The 24-year-old striker arrived in Milan to finalize a €5 million season-long loan deal with a €24 million option to buy, having already agreed to personal terms. Excitement surrounded his potential arrival, with the iconic No. 22 shirt—previously worn by club legend Kaka—reportedly prepared for him at Casa Milan. However, what was expected to be a routine medical examination turned into a lengthy and rigorous process. Milan's medical team, after multiple rounds of tests at the Centro Ambrosiano and the Galeazzi Orthopaedic Institute, identified issues with Boniface's right knee. His history of two anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) operations and recurring groin problems prompted the extra scrutiny.
