80s Casual Classics Brand to Make Southern Debut at Liberty Romford This Summer

Retro clothing retailer 80s Casual Classics is set to expand its physical presence by opening its first store in the South of England this summer. The new flagship store will be located at the Redical-operated Liberty Romford shopping centre, marking a significant step for the brand as it ventures into a new geographical market. This opening will be the retailer's fifth physical location and is anticipated to contribute to the ongoing retail transformation of the shopping destination.
The new store will occupy a spacious 2,340 sq ft area, dedicated to showcasing a wide range of 70s-, 80s-, and 90s-inspired apparel. Customers can expect to find nostalgic heritage brands such as Sergio Tacchini, Fila Vintage, Ellesse, Adidas Originals, Lacoste, Diadora, and Benetton. In addition to these iconic labels, 80s Casual Classics will also offer custom-made exclusive items from third-party brands, featuring modernized retro styles that will be unique to their store locations.
Neil Primett, the founder and managing director of 80s Casual Classics, expressed confidence in this expansion. He highlighted the brand's significant success in the North of England and noted that a substantial portion of their online sales already originates from the South, particularly the Essex and London region. Primett attributed this to the strong prominence of the subculture that 80s Casual Classics caters to, stating, "We have had huge success in the North [of England], and a large portion of our online sales comes from the South, especially in the Essex and London region, due to the prominence of the subculture we sit within. We have no doubt that The Liberty Romford is the right place for us."
Echoing this optimism, Daniel Tucker, leasing manager at The Liberty Romford, emphasized the unique offering that 80s Casual Classics will bring to the shopping centre. He stated, "80s Casual Classics is unlike anything we have at The Liberty Romford, and as a result will help us diversify our mix even further." Tucker also pointed out that The Liberty Romford aims to evolve with the needs of its community and believes that the growing demand for nostalgic fashion makes 80s Casual Classics a valuable addition. He concluded that the new store "will enrich our customer experience while also establishing a key point of difference."
