ANCHORAGE, AK (Alaska’s News Source) - 4th of July weather will be hot and dry across much of interior Alaska, down to southcentral and the southeast panhandle.
Red Flag fire weather warnings will be in place through early Saturday. The heat, combined with low relative humidity and wind is creating the critical fire weather conditions.
Heat advisories stretch from the Brooks Range to the middle Yukon Valley. High temperatures will range from 75 to 90 degrees Friday and Saturday.
High pressure will continue to hover over the state’s northwest and interior locations on the 4th and into the weekend. No widespread storms to impact the state over the next few days.
