33 Best Summer Jewellery Pieces, According To A Fashion Writer

Published 11 hours ago2 minute read

Floaty dresses, linen trousers, bikinis, one-piece swimsuits, SPF, sunglasses and the best summer jewellery. If that's not what your holiday packing list looks like, you're doing something wrong.

Anyone that knows me can vouch for the fact that my accessories collection comes alive during the warmer months and that I go mad for jewellery in particular. From pearls and beads to resin bangles, mixed metals and shells, if it's brightly coloured, waterproof/tarnish-free, or standout-ish in any way, I'm wearing it.

If you've a finger on the pulse of the latest spring/summer fashion trends you'll know that it's go big or go home where jewellery is concerned for 2025. Schiaparelli featured oversized beaded necklaces and '80s-style clip on studs, Giambattista Valli opted for leafy, filigree earrings and sculptural cuffs, and Cult Gaia took the boho route with belly chains and mixed metals.

On the high-street, the best jewellery brands have splashed chunky rope necklaces, star fishes, sardine charms and sundial shells everywhere, with Missoma just recently launching their Spiral collection to coincide.

Truthfully, we probably owe a lot of the obsession to Prada's SS20 runway looks. Five years ago the designer finished virtually every single one of their SS looks with conch shells round the models' necks, and we've not looked back since. Doechii, Gigi Hadid and plenty of Fashion Week's street style stars are huge fans.

If you're wondering how to wear summer jewellery, there's honestly no rhyme or reason. I truly believe you can haphazardly throw it all on together and it'll still look great – arguably better than it would if you carefully curated your look.
