As speculations increase on the potential replacement of Vice President Kashim Shettima in the 2027 All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket by President Bola Tinubu, a northern group known as “Arewa 19 Pyramid for Grassroots Development” has declared its full support for the Tinubu-Shettima ticket.

Leader of the group, Ahmed Abdulraheem, made the declaration over the weekend while addressing journalists in Gombe State.

He said those agitating for Shettima’s replacement as VP are playing divisive politics which can overheat the polity and cause problems for the APC.

According to him, the Tinubu-Shettima ticket is in the best interest of the party and the nation.

“We gather here today not just as concerned citizens, but as committed stakeholders in the future of our region and our nation.

“This is a defining moment, a time to set aside distractions and firmly support the leadership steering our country toward progress,” he said.

Ahmed opined that Shettima remains a vibrant and formidable politician that will continue to contribute to the success of Tinubu’s administration.

“Shettima has earned his place through years of service, sacrifice, and dedication to the unity of this country. Undermining him is not just an affront to the North, but it is a disservice to the nation,” he stated.
