Gunmen have abducted the wife of the District Head of Aboro, Alhaji Shuaibu Suleiman Galadima, and their daughter, Maryam Suleiman Galadima, in Sanga LGA, Kaduna State.

The attack occurred at about 7:36pm on Sunday when the gunmen invaded the district head’s residence.

A resident confirmed that attempts by locals to rescue the victims were met with gunfire, resulting in the death of one person, Umar Abdullahi, and injury to another, Suleiman, who is receiving treatment at a hospital.

The deceased has been buried according to Islamic rites.

Efforts to get a response from the Kaduna State Police Command were unsuccessful as DSP Mansir Hassan did not respond to inquiries at press time.
