directed by Yorgos Lanthimos and another collaboration with actress Emma Stone since Poor Things and is set for a halloween release. The film will release in select theaters on October 24th while being released internationally on October 31st. The film was originally set to release on November 7th. Focus Features will be distributing this project in Canada and the US while Universal Pictures handles the international releases.

The film is a remake of Save The Green Planet which is a South Korean sci fi comedy picture. The South Korean film concerns itself with two conspiracist friends who kidnap a CEO of a government organization because they believe she is a secret alien who plans to destroy the world. Jesse Plemons will also be co starring along with Emma Stone in addition to Alicia Silverstone.

Will Tracy has wrote the script for Bugonia and Lanthimos and Stone will be producing the movie. Horror filmmaker Ari Aster is involved in producing as well.

As Focus Features won the distributing war with Lanthimos, Searchlight has been the original distributor for his past three films. One of Focus Features’ next projects that is set for a future release is Anemone. It will be directed by Ronan Day-Lewis who is the son of Daniel Day-Lewis, with Daniel Day-Lewis set to be the main star in the upcoming project.
