Xiaomi 15S Pro has surfaced in a leak with official documentation, giving us an early peek at its hardware. The phone is set to include ultra-wideband (UWB) connectivity support and 90W fast charging. These two upgrades are sure to catch the attention of Xiaomi fans looking for a high-end daily driver.

A phone with model number “25042PN24C” has just appeared on the Chinese MIIT certification. The regulator documented the phone’s support for UWB technology, which is a protocol some modern devices use for a faster and more accurate wireless connection between gadgets.

Smartphones mostly use this technology for short-range communication with smart home appliances and cars. MIIT’s certification wasn’t the only one that we found on the internet. Xiaomi 15S Pro was also seen on the Chinese 3C certification, assigned with the same model number.

The 3C certification helped us crack the phone’s charging secrets. It would seem that the device supports up to 90W fast charging, just like it did with the standard Xiaomi 15. Per the adapter details, the phone’s battery can handle 20 volts at up to 4.5 amperes, giving you a total input of around 90W. With such powerful charging specs, it's worth keeping an eye on the Xiaomi mobile price, especially if you're planning to upgrade to a high-performance device.

Employing UWB technology for its smartphones isn’t the first rodeo for the company. Xiaomi has done it before with the Xiaomi Mix 4, although oddly, it stopped using this hardware for flagships after that. Nonetheless, UWB will be making a comeback on the Xiaomi 15S Pro.

Xiaomi seems to be adjusting to the EV market quite well after releasing the Xiaomi SU7, and with more EV projects on the horizon, it also plans to advance its smartphones with UWB technology for accurate location tracking, keyless entry with better security, and smarter device connections.

Not just Xiaomi, but many modern cars use UWB for convenience. You could, in theory, use the Xiaomi 15S Pro to control other vehicles you may own that have the feature available. We’ll know more about this feature when the device comes out, so stay tuned for future updates and an imminent review upon the phone's debut.
