John Cena has been at the center of WWE this year after he announced that 2025 will be his last year as an in-ring wrestler for the company. His Farewell Tour has been going well and good, with Cena making an appearance in every major event for the company.
And now, the wrestler-turned-actor has also been advertised to be a part of the Survivor Series this year, which will mark his last appearance in this event.
The 2025 Survivor Series: WarGames will be held at Petco Park in San Diego, California, on Saturday, November 29, 2025, over the Thanksgiving weekend. WWE officially made announcements on June 30 for the pay-per-view event, and also declared that the event will be based on the WarGames format. Another thing that caught the eyes of fans was that John Cena was advertised to be a participant in this event, and fans are dying to know if he will be a part of the title event, and if so, who all will he team up with?
John Cena is not having the friendliest of farewells as far as farewells go.
He has had, so far, rivalries with most prominent wrestlers in the company - from Cody Rhodes to CM Punk, not many would want to get into a team with him. But at the end of the day, he is John Cena, and he is still one of the biggest stars in this galaxy. And fans can't wait to see how this event shapes up to be, especially given that it will once again be held as WarGames.
Another thing that caught the attention of fans was that along with John Cena, another star, who has been absent from the ring for quite some time now, will also be at the Survivor Series.
Roman Reigns has been absent from the ring since he was attacked by Seth Rollins, Paul Heyman, and Bron Breakker. After that all-out brawl at WrestleMania 41, Roman got attacked on RAW by the trio and has since been absent from all things WWE. But recently, there have been a few teases that hint towards a possible comeback by The OTC.
