World Vision Ghana denounces fake loan scheme, warns public against fraud
World Vision Ghana has strongly disassociated itself from a fraudulent loan scheme falsely operating under its name and warned the public against falling victim to financial scams.
Addressing the media on Monday, June 30, the organisation’s Director for Strategy and Integrated Programmes, Joshua Baidoo, made it clear that World Vision does not charge any fees for the services it provides, especially those aimed at vulnerable communities.
“We want to use this platform to indicate that we have no association with this fraudulent scheme. As part of our vision, we do not take any charge or fee on the services we render to the most vulnerable children, communities, and families.”
To further clarify, the organisation noted that VisionFund Ghana is the only officially recognised microfinance institution under the World Vision umbrella.
This was confirmed by Patrick Attah, Head of Operations at VisionFund Ghana, who reaffirmed that no other financial entity is affiliated with the NGO.
