Discussions about Bronny James' readiness for the NBA are still very active to this day. Many think that he should have stuck with the USC Trojans for one more year while others posit that he only ever got the recognition due to LeBron James.
Many people obviously have opinions about the USC basketball alum. There is not much that people can do about the situation except hope that he pops off one of these days. Rich Paul, however, did make a plea to the Lakers if they wanted to see the young talent develop more.
He posits that Bronny should be with the South Bay Lakers and playing in the NBA G League, via Gil's Arena.
"In the G League, absolutely. The G League for today has much better development criteria to it, and if you look at the draft, we’ve had pretty much everybody from the third pick in the draft to the last pick in the draft, have some time in the G League,” the renowned NBA agent said.
Paul even went one step further by giving a certain New Orleans Pelicans player as an example to hammer his point down.
“I represent Dejounte Murray - played a full season in the G League and was the starting point guard in the Western Conference Finals against the Warriors. That's development. I embrace the G League," he added.
So far, the former USC player has been called up in 17 games for the Lakers. Throughout that span of time, he has been played for an average of 4.2 minutes while only dropping 1.4 points on a field goal shooting percentage of 25%.
Should the Lakers take Paul's advice?
