Aldis Hodge returned as hacker Alec Hardison in ’s revival, Leverage: Redemption, but he left the team early in the first season. Since Leverage ended and Nate and Sophie retired, Hardison, Parker, and Eliot have been running Leverage International, expanding the team’s mission of fleecing the rich and powerful on a global scale. Sophie came out of retirement for Leverage: Redemption after the death of Timothy Hutton's Nate. Parker and Eliot return to the team, but Hardison finds himself indispensable to their international work.
After only one con, Hardison resumes traveling around the world, and his foster sister, Breanna Casey, steps into his shoes as the crew's hacker. As it turns out, Hardison was written off the show early on because of the demands of Aldis Hodge’s increasingly busy schedule. Since the original show ended, Hodge has appeared in several projects, and his career has only grown. and appeared in hit movies like One Night in Miami, Hidden Figures, The Invisible Man, and Black Adam.

Since Aldis Hodge's time on Leverage: Redemption, he's also had a starring role as DeCourcy Ward in City on a Hill and his biggest role to date playing Justice Society of America member Carter Hall, a.k.a. Hawkman, in the DC movie Black Adam. , but Hardison still had guest appearances on Leverage. In the revival's first season, he appeared three times, but after the first two episodes, he wasn't back until the season finale.

It was also important to note that while Hodge wasn't around much in the first season, Leverage: Redemption didn't let fans forget about him. Throughout the season, Parker and Eliot commented on Hardison's activities in various countries as he remained in contact with the team. It turned out that, while he wasn't in the season on-screen, Hardison was working secretly with Harry (Noah Wyle) the entire time to take down RIZ.
Though Aldis Hodge left Leverage: Redemption early on in season 1, that didn't mean his character wouldn't return in season 2. and was in more episodes (although still not as a full-time team member). In the season 2 premiere, he showed up and rescued a kidnapped journalist named Bradley Smikov (Josh Breslow) and then went to the team for help. This was a nice opening, but he only came back for four more episodes, which were more spread apart than in the first season.

Leverage: Redemption season 3 premiered in April 2025, and the entire team is back together again, including Aldis Hodge as Hardison. They head to Paris and end up in giant battles with international criminals. They also have a problem when because he is tired of seeing people he cares about get hurt. It could be a way to see him finally move out of the storylines, but for now, he is back for the new season. It also means he got back home from space.
