Nandi governor Stephen Sang has called on the critics of Kenya Kwanza government to keep cool as it fixes the messes that they created while in government.

Speaking in Kapseret, Uasin Gishu county, Sang said the critics should not give lectures since it messed even the human rights issues that is bedevilling the country at the moment.

“We are asking the previous administration and those elements that were part of the previous administration….  We are fixing your mess, and as we fix it, the only thing you can do is to keep your cool and watch us fix your mess. Don’t give us lectures yet we are fixing the mess that you left our country in,” said Sang.

He slammed the opposition led by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua for continuing frustrating the government.

The Governor also argued that those against the independent probe into the killing of Albert Ojwang should also be investigated on what they know about it.

“For anybody who is against independent investigation into the murder of Albert Ojwang, we must investigate what they know about the murder,” he said.

The blogger’s murder has led to unrest in the capital city, with protesters calling for comprehensive investigations and the resignation of Deputy Inspector General Eliud Lagat. It is through Lagat’s complaint that Ojwang was arrested and later died in police custody at Central Police Station.
