However, the protests were also infiltrated by goons who attacked protesters, vandalised properties and even stole from shops.
What puzzled Kenyans more was footage that captured an officer carrying laptops in his hands while running towards a police van, which was on standby.
The laptops were reportedly stolen by goons who had broken into an electronics store in CBD during protests.
The officer, who was also armed, approached the van to hand over the laptops to one of his colleagues, who was waiting in the vehicle.
The police vehicle, which had other officers aboard, left the scene, sparking questions as to where they were taking the stolen laptops.

"This isn't just theft, it's betrayal of trust. The irony is that stolen goods won't fix their lives; any money gained will likely be squandered, doing nothing for their actual struggles or the systemic problems that push them to such acts."

"Thank you for capturing this....waiting to see their faces as well. They are shameless."
