Warm, above average streak continues
COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Good Friday Morning! An unseasonably warm morning as we wrap up the first full week of February with readings in the 60s.
Very light areas of fog again possible this morning given the very warm conditions across the region. The day ahead will remain warm with above average readings as high temperatures climb into the mid 70s, keeping the streak of warm weather alive. We are tracking a few spotty showers mainly this afternoon and evening as the clouds break giving us a few rays of sunshine.
Heading into the weekend, conditions remain warm with mostly cloudy skies and spotty showers as a weak front remains draped and stalled across the southeast.
Next week starts off warm and unsettled as we track several storm systems that will push through the southeast. The first one arrives midweek with scattered showers and storms and then the second one arrives late in the week.
The secondary system should help us return a tad ‘cooler’ by the upcoming weekend.
