His body arrived at his Kitale home on Thursday, March 6, with boda boda operators escorting the hearse to his father's homestead.

Ahead of the highly anticipated funeral service, the government, through Trans Nzoia County Commissioner Gideon Oyagi, has issued strict guidelines to be followed during Chebukati's final send off.

Speaking to Nation, Oyagi emphasised that attendees should avoid wearing political attire, stating that the funeral is a solemn service, not a political event.

He urged all political leaders across the country to instruct their supporters to ensure strict adherence to this rule.

Oyagi issued a stern warning to anyone planning to disrupt the funeral, stating that adequate security measures will be in place to prevent any chaos.

He also emphasised that no group would be permitted to cheer for their leaders during Chebukati's final send-off.

"This is not a political rally but a funeral service. No group will be allowed to cheer their political leader," Oyagi affirmed.
