As e-commerce becomes increasingly professionalized in Vietnam, a growing number of businesses – both big and small – are finding success by leveraging data tools to guide their marketing and operations.

One standout tool helping sellers optimize performance is the ACE Framework, developed by TikTok Shop, which focuses on three core pillars: assortment, content, and empowerment.

"Beyond focusing solely on price, many sellers are increasingly prioritizing operational optimization and service quality improvement to enhance sustainable competitiveness," said Nguyen Ngo, marketing manager for TikTok Shop Vietnam.

"Developed by TikTok Shop to help sellers grow their businesses based on real-time data, the ACE Framework is a crucial operational tool, reflecting our commitment to providing better support and resources to the seller community."

One of the most visible success stories is COLORKEY, a once-new cosmetics brand that has quickly become one of TikTok Shop's top performers.

According to George Zhao, CEO of COLORKEY Vietnam, the brand used ACE to pinpoint trending products, optimize how those products are displayed, and tailor content to enhance customer experience.

In the last quarter of 2024 alone, the brand saw gross merchandise value (GMV) for its setting spray grow over 200 percent.

The brand's success did not stop at product selection. By producing more than 30,000 videos and live streams and partnering with over 37,000 creators in Q4/2024, COLORKEY generated millions of views and sparked viral interest.

The hashtag #COLORKEY topped the beauty and healthcare category with over 42,000 video posts.

Another rising player, Movie Legend, specializes in compact, affordable projectors targeting Gen Z and young families.

The Vietnamese brand used data from TikTok Shop to launch exclusive product versions tailored to the platform's audience.

By analyzing view rates, conversion rates, and other content metrics, the brand could segment its customers and refine its messaging, said CEO Tran Van Cuong.

As a result, Movie Legend tripled its return on ad spend and boosted GMV by 131 percent from the previous quarter.

Footwear brand LOVIIECORNER also credits its growth to the ACE Framework.

Founded by Le Nguyen Nhu Quynh in 2022, the brand now ranks among the top three fastest-growing sellers in women's shoe category on TikTok Shop.

"TikTok Shop's Assortment indexes have helped LOVIIECORNER better understand the tastes of young people, thereby making informed decisions in product development," said Quynh.

By updating product lines monthly and live-streaming six times a week with influencers, LOVIIECORNER saw a nearly-200-percent growth rate in Q4/2024.

Meanwhile, in the gardening sector, Anh Nong Dan Ao Xanh has become a surprising success.

Owner Kieu Van Dung transitioned from traditional sales to TikTok Shop and saw his store's GMV multiply by 28 times in Q4/2024.

His content strategy focuses on sharing practical gardening tips, such as 'how to help plants produce more branches,' which resonated with customers.

"It's about building trust through content," Dung said.

Then there is Tymmaypin, a TikTok Shop sensation in the unlikely category of power tools.

Truong Thanh Tung, who runs TYM's Shop, began by casually sharing his knowledge about battery-powered machines.

His relatable, unscripted videos now average over 200 orders per day.

"Just be yourself, selling must be fun, don't be grumpy," Tung said.

"Say it as it is, be sincere with customers.

"Customers not only buy products but also buy the trust and dedication of the seller."

The common thread across these businesses is their ability to integrate data with creative content.

TikTok Shop's ACE Framework, which offers real-time insights on product performance, audience behavior, and marketing effectiveness, has become a compass for sellers navigating Vietnam's competitive e-commerce landscape.

As Vietnam's digital economy expands, these stories offer a glimpse into how data-driven strategies can turn ordinary sellers into e-commerce powerhouses – one view, click, and conversion at a time.
