Video: UFC Baku's Jamahal Hill clowns 'weird' reporter for asking 'dorky online fan question'

Warning: Don’t ask “dorky” questions to “Sweet Dreams.”

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Light Heavyweight champion returns to action for his fifth main event against former title challenger at UFC Baku this weekend (Sat., June 21, 2025) inside Baku Crystal Hall in Azerbaijan.

At UFC Baku media day this morning (Weds., June 18, 2025), Hill clashed with a reporter who asked whether his two recent losses would impact his fight against Rountree.

You lost in your last two fights, how will it affect your upcoming fight?” a reporter asked Hill in broken English through a translator.

It didn’t go over well.

“Will my losses to Jiri and Alex affect this fight? How will it do that?” Hill responded. “Every fight is different. That’s a weird question. That’s like a dorky online fan question. I don’t really get how that will affect a completely different fight.”

Though awkwardly worded, the question—perhaps better framed as a query about Hill’s confidence—was reasonable enough.

Hill, who’s embraced his role as a villain, was not shy to clown the reporter, maybe because of PTSD from fans who have been critical of him

Coming off his first career losing streak with stoppages in both bouts (watch highlights), the former champion aims to rebound against Rountree.
