On Tuesday, June 3, the Trans Nzoia governor attended the mention of his corruption case.

However, moments after the mention of the case, some county government employees who had accompanied Natembeya were arrested.

Natembeya's team shared a video of unidentified individuals believed to be police officers forcefully seizing the three employees before bundling them into a Subaru vehicle.

Among those arrested is Felix Sialo, the Director of Communications in Trans Nzoia county government.

In a statement, Natembeya's party, the Democratic Action Party of Kenya (DAP-K), condemned the incident.

"It is deeply distressing and utterly unacceptable that a group of officers accompanying His Excellency Governor George Natembeya have today been abducted by unknown individuals in broad daylight, right outside the Milimani Law Courts. They were forcefully seized, together with an unidentified individual, and bundled into unmarked Subaru vehicles in full view of police officers stationed at the court premises. Disturbingly, no action was taken to prevent or respond to this brazen act," DAP-K said.
