KTN News reported that two men were found brutally murdered and their bodies dumped along the Mogotia-Kipkitur Road in the Menengai area.

Nakuru County, Sub-county commander Cecilia Kemboi confirmed the sad news, stating that the victims could have been killed elsewhere before being dumped at the scene.

Kemboi said investigations have been launched to establish the motive of the murder and those behind the same.

On his part, Soin Ward representative Degaulle Naburuki strongly condemned the incident, saying it had left the residents in shock.

Naburuki disclosed that the bodies of the two men were fresh and the victims had been tortured to death.

According to the ward rep, both men had their hands chopped off and their legs tied using ropes, a clear sign that they were brutally murdered.

"The two people appeared to have been killed at night, and their bodies left there. The scene was on a road leading to sisal farms, where very few people pass.
"Both men had their hands chopped off and their legs tied using ropes. This was an execution. This was torture. It is not every day you find people murdered in this manner. It was a painful death," said Naburuki.

The incident comes amid reports of rising insecurity in Nakuru county following a series of murder cases.

The incident occurred just weeks after a well-known businessman was shot dead by armed assailants in Nakuru’s Pipeline area.

The attack took place at around 8pm on Wednesday, May 21, outside his home and left his wife injured.

The killing shocked the neighbourhood and sparked protests, with angry residents taking to the streets to denounce the rising insecurity in the area.

The businessman, identified as Jackson Mwangi Macharia, was attacked while closing his roadside business, which he had operated for several years at the front of his compound.

Eyewitnesses said two assailants armed with a gun and a machete ambushed the couple as they were finishing their work for the day.

Lilian Chebai, a resident of nearby Joyland estate, told TUKO.co.ke that criminal activities in the area have increased. Despite repeated appeals to security authorities, no effective action has been taken.

As residents mourn the tragic death of Jackson Mwangi Macharia in Nakuru’s Pipeline estate, security experts warn that such attacks reveal deeper structural challenges within Kenya’s urban security system.
