Victoria Beckham Collaborates with Safilo for Eyewear Collection

Victoria Beckham, the visionary behind the eponymous British fashion label, has announced a pivotal change in the manufacturing and distribution of her highly regarded eyewear collections. The label has officially entered into a comprehensive 10-year worldwide license agreement with the esteemed Italian producer, Safilo. This significant partnership, set to extend until December 2035, encompasses the entire process from design and manufacturing to the global distribution of Victoria Beckham's sunglasses and eyeglasses. The very first collection to be produced under Safilo's expertise, designated for Spring/Summer 2026, is anticipated to be available in stores starting next January.

This strategic alliance represents a new milestone for Victoria Beckham's eyewear category, a product line that has been an integral part of the brand almost since its inception in 2008. Historically, the label initially developed its eyewear in-house, with manufacturing support from specialist Cutler & Gross. More recently, since 2019, Victoria Beckham's eyewear collections had been under a licensing deal with the US producer Marchon. The transition to Safilo signifies a deliberate move to further enhance the brand's global presence and elevate its offerings in the competitive eyewear market. It is noteworthy that Neo Investment Partners holds a substantial stake of nearly 30% in the Victoria Beckham label.

Expressing her excitement regarding the new collaboration, Victoria Beckham stated in a press release that she is "thrilled to be working with Safilo to take Victoria Beckham Eyewear to the next level." She lauded Safilo's unparalleled expertise in the field, recognizing their "long-standing reputation for exceptional quality and craftsmanship." Furthermore, Beckham highlighted Safilo's "global reach and industry-leading capabilities," indicating her anticipation for the opportunities ahead and her eagerness to realize their shared vision through this partnership.

For Safilo, this new agreement is a significant coup, particularly as the group already serves as the licensee for "Eyewear by David Beckham," the line associated with Victoria's husband. This addition is poised to considerably strengthen Safilo's standing within the luxury segment of the market. The Italian producer boasts an extensive license portfolio, which includes other prominent fashion houses such as Hugo Boss, Dsquared2, Isabel Marant, Marc Jacobs, Moschino, and Tommy Hilfiger. Angelo Trocchia, CEO of Safilo, articulated the joint objective to reinforce Victoria Beckham's position as a leading global eyewear reference in women's fashion. He emphasized the commitment to delivering uniquely designed and exquisitely crafted pieces that will stand out due to their meticulous attention to detail, minimalist design principles, and sophisticated aesthetics. Trocchia concluded by noting that this license will further enrich Safilo’s women’s portfolio within its brand architecture and solidify its presence in the luxury segment.
