Hello. If you’re not already familiar with Dr. Jeremy Faust he is a talented doctor who holds down a lot of jobs. He is an emergency physician at Brigham and Women's Hospital, an instructor at Harvard Medical School, Editor-in-Chief of Medpage Today and Author of the Inside Medicine newsletter here on Substack.
This week a federal judge ordered the Trump administration to halt a plan to slash billions of dollars of payments from the National Institutes of Health to university medical research programs. The Trump Administration had them taken down when Trump first took office. We’re waiting to see if the administration complies. This order is temporary too, until the court can hear arguments in the case.
Today Dr. Faust and I discuss these cases and more.
