NDLEA Arrests Cocaine Smuggler at Airport

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has been actively conducting operations nationwide, resulting in numerous arrests and seizures of illicit drugs. One notable case involves Ihensekhien Miracle Obehi, who was apprehended at the Port Harcourt International Airport while attempting to board a Qatar Airways flight to Iran via Doha. Obehi, disguised in a hijab to avoid detection, had concealed cocaine in her private parts, handbag, and swallowed pellets, totaling 2.523 kilogrammes.
In a separate incident at Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA) in Lagos, a 22-year-old British national, Campell Kaizra Kofi Johannes Slifer, was intercepted upon arrival from Thailand via Doha. He was found with 37.60 kilogrammes of Loud, a potent strain of cannabis, hidden in two suitcases. Campell admitted to prior drug trafficking and robbery convictions in the UK.
In Niger State, NDLEA officers seized 246 bags of skunk, a cannabis strain, weighing 3,047 kilogrammes, along the Suleja-Kaduna road. Four suspects, Christopher Onyema, Benedict Etineruba Young, Chukwudi Ujue Jerry, and Mohammed Abdullahi Danasabe, were arrested, and several vehicles were recovered, including a fuel truck and three buses.
In Lagos, Eze Chekube Emmanuel and Ike Samuel Chinyerem were apprehended in the Ijora area with 109,914 pills of tramadol, swinol, and nitrozepam. Meanwhile, in Kaduna State, Lukman Sabo Umar and Tukur Ammadu were arrested with 52.5 kilogrammes of skunk on a bus at Gwantu, Sanga Local Council.
Along the Bode Saadu-Jebba expressway in Kwara State, Rufai Nasiru was arrested with 45,400 pills of tramadol 225mg. In Bauchi State, Isaac Onogure and Ikechukwu Peter were intercepted with 526 blocks of skunk weighing 505 kilogrammes along the Bauchi-Gombe road.
In Kano State, Hafizu Isa Uman and Ismail Shehu were arrested during a raid in the Rijiyar Zaki area, where 775 litres of codeine syrup were recovered. Additionally, in Lagos, 1.1 kilogrammes of Loud, concealed in a pillow from Thailand, were intercepted at a courier company.
