Anangwe was traced to Kisumu by the detectives probing his conduct while at the helm of the country's top-ranked tertiary institution.
He was accused of abusing his office and mismanaging the varsity, which has in the recent past been hitting the headlines for the wrong reasons.
Anangwe, who was airlifted to Nairobi for questioning at the EACC headquarters, was arrested alongside other members of the UoN council; namely Ahmed Sheikh Abdullahi, Daniel Brian Ouma, and Carren Kerubo Omwenga.
