Cavaliers' coach Nigel Lloyd allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Eleventh-ranked Knights (8-16) gave a tough game to sixth ranked Riders (14-10) in Newcastle on Sunday. The visitors from Loughborough managed to secure only three-point victory 75-72. However their fans expected much easier game. The best player for the winners was Michael Joiner who scored 26 points. Riders' coach William Maynard used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Ronald Blain produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds for the hosts. Loughborough moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Essex R. Newcastle lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 16 games lost.

There were no shocking results in the other games in round 26: Nottingham H. won against Worthing T. on the opponent's court 94-79. Birmingham R. unfortunately lost to Derby T. in a home game 83-89.
